Lynn was born in Edinburgh but raised in the village of Ecclefechan, Dumfries and Galloway. She was educated locally at Hoddom Primary School and Lockerbie Academy. She studied her Law Degree and Diploma in Legal practise at Aberdeen University before returning to Dumfries and Galloway to begin her legal traineeship in 2009 and has practised locally as a Solicitor in Dumfries ever since.
With a keen interest in Family and Adoption Law, Lynn regularly appears in Dumfries Sheriff Court but is also an advocate for Alternative Dispute Resolution, especially collaborative practice having qualified as a Collaborative Lawyer in 2015. Spare time interests include keeping active, travel and socialising.
